So who gave the approval?

- Allan Wilson

Shepparton

There was another accident at the corner of Ford Rd and Grahamvale Rd (truck bypass road) during the morning rush hour on Friday.

Thankfully it did not appear anyone was hurt this time.

This is a most dangerous corner, with fast transports travelling through and intersecting with high volumes of local school traffic turning out of Ford Rd.

It is beyond belief that this corner is now approved for B-double transport.

There are no turning lanes, there is no space for even ordinary trucks to turn because of the narrow bridge over the channel and there is a large power pole close to the corner.

No-one at council or VicRoads seems to know who gave approval for B-doubles to use this corner, yet it plainly does not meet B-double standards.

Council, in the interests of safety, should withdraw approval before there is another fatality.
