I wish to say thank you to many people in Shepparton and the Goulburn Valley who provided free entertainment to many at the weekend.
Friday evening’s walk from Victoria Park Lake over the footbridge on the walking path to KidsTown was great for all, with many families and children on scooters, trikes and bikes.
We were watched by two kangaroos from a distance, and on arrival we enjoyed a delicious free barbecue with onions and coleslaw, plus the entertainment of singing and the use of sports equipment, then return buses delivered people to Shepparton and Mooroopna.
On Friday from 6pm to 9pm at Victory Park in St Georges Rd, The Australian Multicultural Games provided sporting activities, entertainment and free cultural foods.
On Saturday at twilight at the beautiful Victoria Lake Park — which is a fantastic sight for our travelling visitors — the lawns provided a perfect venue for the great movie Oddball, which was screened free of charge and was well patronised.
On Sunday at Tatura there was a magic show with a circus twist, followed by plate-spinning and feather-balancing held at Mactier Park, again free of charge.
Many in the great Goulburn Valley are grateful, and say thank you.
